Tribal geometric patterns found in these carpets come from the surrounding villages of the region of Heriz. The special charm of Heriz carpets and rugs derive principally from the unusual colour spectrum used, as their oversized geometric medallions sit nicely against the characteristic brick red background and their magnificent pink dough shades used for plant motifs (flowers and leaves) harmonize with the soft ivories as well contrasting with the dark blue field(s).
